CHCC Chief Executive Officer Esther Muna thanked Docomo Pacific for the donations, noting this was not the first time that the telecommunications company has donated items to the hospital.

Last summer, Docomo Pacific painted colorful sea creatures on the walls of the pediatric ward.

“They will also install wi-fi,” Muna said. “The electronic games and board games they donated are for older kids so they will have something to do while they are recovering.”

Docomo donated an Xbox, PS4 units with games, Monopoly, chess sets, among other items.

“We are very grateful to Docomo. They have done a lot for the pediatric ward,” Muna said.

“They want to help the hospital, especially the pediatric area, to make it more child-friendly. We believe having an environment in which there are games and activities and rooms that are friendly and inviting for the kids can help them recover faster,” she said.
