Senate commends Tinian JROTC cadets

(Press Release) — On Friday, Feb. 2, Sen. Jude U. Hofschneider handed a commemorative resolution to Tinian High School JROTC cadets.

The resolution, which was adopted by the Senate, recognizes the accomplishment of the Stallion Battalion in earning the Honor Unit with Distinction.

The great teamwork and perseverance of the Tinian cadets are evident as shown in their JROTC Program of Accreditation scores in December 2017.

Receiving the plaque from the senators is the Stallion Battalion commander, C/LTC Michelle Quichocho. With her were C/CSM Lisa Nicole Clamor and service learning facilitator C/MSG Isa Rae Dela Cruz.

Tinian High School principal Dionne Santos and Army JROTC instructors, Capt. Joseph A. Santos and 1SG Jose King, also witnessed the presentation of the resolution.

The CNMI senators congratulated the cadets for a job well done. C/LTC Michelle Quichocho, in her remarks, said: “It is truly amazing that hard work and dedication are behind the lines of this resolution. As the battalion commander and a graduating senior, this accomplishment will definitely be a highlight. I thank Senator Jude, my instructors, and all our community supporters.”
