Breakfast meeting on creating an alcohol/drug-free workplace

(Press Release) — The Society for Human Resource Management-NMI chapter invites its members, associated HR and management staff, and interested members of the public to attend its first breakfast membership meeting on Thursday, Feb. 15.

NMI SHRM is pleased to have Sandra F. Bordallo, MFT, LPC and Daniel A. Duenas, MSW, MA, from Westcare Pacific Islands to discuss how to attain an alcohol and drug-free workplace.

Sandra Bordallo earned her master’s degree in counseling from the University of Guam, and has over 11 years of professional, social work, and counseling experience. She is a licensed marriage family therapist or MFT, and a licensed professional counselor or LPC working with adolescents and adults in the Juvenile Drug Court, and the DUI court systems on Guam.  

Daniel Duenas is currently employed with Westcare Pacific Islands under the Supportive Services Veterans Families as the lead veteran advocate. Duenas has an extensive professional experiences over 30 years in the areas of behavioral health and substance abuse treatment to include forensic treatment with incarcerated individuals from individual to group treatment.

This breakfast meeting will be held in the Fiesta Resort & Spa Azucena Room on Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, from 8 a.m. to 9:30 a.m.

The presentation is open to the public and will be an invaluable opportunity for employers, managers, and HR professionals and staff to learn more about available programs to assist them in their alcohol and drug-free workplace efforts. The guest speakers will provide an opportunity for questions.
