GMA students perform well at speech, debate competition

(Green Meadow School) — At the regional event of the National Speech and Debate Association, four GMS Middle School Falcons made it to the top five and six reached the finals in different categories after a week of competition held at Hopwood Middle School and Mount Carmel School last week.

Christian Ted Pamintuan topped Original Oratory which qualifies him to participate in the national tournament in Fort Lauderdale, Florida together with the other champions from other schools in the CNMI. He also placed fourth in Declamation.

Ariel Legaspi was fourth in Dramatic Interpretation and fifth in Duo Interpretation. Areeza Gaile Anda was fifth in Humorous Interpretation while Sabino Cabrera finished fifth in Duo Interpretation

Two GMS Falcons made it to the final rounds: Arnel Josh Coloma in Storytelling and Elijah Umali in Declamation.

With the guidance and patient coaching of Ms. Virgie Ogerio and Ms. Lorelisa Espiritu, these students worked hard and gave their best. The administration, faculty, parents and students are very proud of these Falcons!
