Saipan Cares for Animals asks public to adopt a pet

FIFTEEN dogs and about 20 cats and kittens are up for adoption, Saipan Cares for Animals volunteer Kim Cody said.

During the American Red Cross-NMI chapter fundraising walkathon on Saturday at the Civic Center in Susupe, the SCA brought puppies and dogs that are up for adoption.

“Many people and children came over and cuddled the dogs and puppies,” Cody said.

The SCA has been participating in community events to promote pet adoption, she added.

“These dogs and cats need a home. They are all really sweet pets and great with children,” Cody said.

SCA volunteer Luke Gillies said those who want to adopt pets must fill out a form. “We just want to know where they live or and make sure if they have a yard for the dogs,” he added.
