Lawmaker asks CHCC to continue assisting Kagman center

REPRESENTATIVE Lorenzo I. Deleon Guerrero is urging the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. and its board to continue assisting the Kagman Community Health Center.

He said there will be more challenges ahead for the center which is celebrating its fifth anniversary this year.

“We must conquer them,” Deleon Guerrero said, as he urged the CNMI central government, the Legislature and the Office of the Attorney General to help address the “issues” involving the center and CHCC.

In May, the center will start to operate independently of CHCC.

“We do not want to lose the federal grants we have already secured for the center,” the lawmaker said.

He added that all stakeholders should work together as a team for the benefit and welfare of the community.

“Let us do what is right for the public.  Let us diminish our differences and protect the safety and the health of our community,” he said.
