GMS students perform well in math competition

(Press Release) — Five of Green Meadow School students brought home honor and glory after winning top places in the recently concluded Math Court at Kagman Elementary School on May 12, 2018.

First grade Neil Clarence Unay won the bronze medal in the individual round, 1st grade division, and 4th place in over-all round for kinder-1st grade. His teacher-coach is Zenaida Marcelo.

Yel Khalil Ocampo, 3rd grade, was 4th in the individual round and 4th over-all  for the 2nd-3rd grade division.

John Edsel Hinolan, 4th grade, topped the 4th grade division and has been named an alternate CNMI team member for national Math Court competition that will be  held in Texas.

First place in the team round in the 4th-6th grade division is the group of John Edsel Hinolan, Jasmyne Tolentino, 5th  grade, and Rayven Dela Cruz, 4th grade.

All 3rd-6th grade participants of GMS were coached by Analiza Quiambao. Last year, the Falcons won the 2nd-3rd trophy in Math Court and this year they got the 4th-6th trophy.

Other teachers who coached the GMS Math Court participants were Meliza Umali and Elvie Armea.

The whole GMS family are proud of all the participants and coaches who made it to the regional meet.
