Filipino group issues statement on Maharlikan Saipan

(Press Release) — United Filipino Organizations president Marlon Regaton, through press relations officer Lito Marquez, issued the following statement:

“The United Filipino Organizations is not in any way connected and is not in coordination with the Maharlikan Saipan regarding the recent postings on its Facebook page.

“Furthermore, the recent issues/campaign against the Philippines Consulate on Guam, the invitation for an Filipino workers meeting on May 24, 2018 at American Memorial Park, and the form distribution and data gathering posted on the Maharlikan Saipan FB Page are of their own initiative and do not involve in any way the United Filipino Organizations, its officers, and the respective member organizations.

“We are asking everyone to remain calm and be responsible on their social media postings so as to avoid unnecessary words that breed confusion. We need to stand unified not divided.

“Let us leave the CW issue to the proper authorities and let government initiatives take their course. While waiting for official updates and result, let us all continue to work responsibly in our respective jobs, and let us all pray for a favorable outcome for the betterment of each and everyone and the community we live in.

“Thank you very much.”
