The even was organized by the National Youth Movement for the West Philippine Sea-Marianas chapter, US Pinoys for Good Governance-Marianas chapter, BAYANi- Bayan Bago Sarili and National Federation of Filipino American Associations-CNMI chapter and the Asian Community of the CNMI.

The sponsor was Dr. Celia Lamkin, chair of the organizing groups, and her husband, Ron Lamkin.

“We have been doing these free health screenings in the CNMI for the past eight years and we are so overwhelmed by the turnout because more people are getting aware and conscious of their health and lifestyle,” Dr. Lamkin said.

Those with high blood pressure measurements and blood sugar readings were advised to consult their primary physicians.

“Health is one of the important things in our lives,” Mr. Lamkin said. “We should be responsible for our health and lifestyle. There may be doctors and nurses in the hospitals and clinics, but ultimately, we should be proactive in maintaining our  good health.”

The event organizers would like to extend their sincere appreciation and gratitude to the following:

Felisa Legaspi, Elizabeth Escobar-Mendiola, Northern Marianas College nursing students Ruby Jean Belingon, Clarice Canarejo, Joann Villaluna and Ella May David, Kaiza Lucido, NMC Nursing Student Club president, organizing group members, volunteers and supporters- Lucita T.
