The non-governmental trip will highlight the governor’s ongoing commitment to continually provide updates for CNMI residents abroad regarding the state of the Commonwealth today and the progress made over the last few years.

From July 9 to 11, the governor will first visit Washington, where he will meet with constituents in Port Orchard, Tacoma, Lakewood and the greater Seattle area. He will be visiting Oregon with stops in Portland and Salem for the annual Marianas Picnic on July 14.

He then heads over to Texas to meet with constituents in the greater Houston area on July 15, then meets with constituents in Las Vegas on July 16. On July 17, he heads down to Phoenix, Arizona, then heads over to San Diego on July 18. On July 19, he returns to Boise, Idaho to visit his mother and meet with CNMI residents. Finally, he ends his trip with a stop in Honolulu, Hawaii on July 21 for one more listening session with off-island residents.

Throughout these constituent visits, the governor will reaffirm his commitment of ensuring that the CNMI economy grows and stabilizes in order for the islands to have more resources and amenities available for off-island residents when they make the decision to come back home. This priority has been a critical one for the governor’s administration, so that every single person who calls these islands home truly have the opportunities for success when they return.
