Steven Beyer named SIS elementary/middle school principal

(Press Release) —  Saipan International School is pleased to announce that Mr. Steven Beyer has been selected as the new elementary/middle school principal effective Aug. 13, 2018. SIS has just hit another all-time high enrollment and is looking forward to the increase in student services that Steven will bring with his new role.

Steven earned his BA in business administration from Western State College of Colorado and his masters of education from Oregon State University. He  is certified in elementary education and in math and science education for grades K-8.

This is Steven’s eighth year at SIS where he has taught most subjects in middle school and has served as the middle school team leader for the last five years. Steven has been instrumental in improving the quality of education for the Saipan International School Middle School where he has successfully implemented several new programs, including a highly popular ukulele elective and SIS’s first competitive robotics program.

Steven believes that every student is unique and strives to create an educational environment that will stimulate and encourage growth, not only mentally, but physically, emotionally, and socially.

Steven’s years of teaching and coaching experience have given him the opportunity to connect with those around him by modeling effective instructional strategies, facilitating greater critical thinking, energizing with perseverance toward creative endeavors, and developing a culture of collaboration.

Steven joins the SIS leadership team of Ron Snyder, headmaster, Mili Saiki, office manager, Whitney Altizer, counselor, and SIS’s new HS team leader, Robin Spaeth.
