Marianas Young Professionals: Volunteer of the Year nominees!

(MYPros) — The Marianas Young Professionals is proud to invite you all to join us for “Havana Nights” our three-year anniversary event to be held in the Hyatt Regency Saipan Ballroom, Saturday, Oct. 20, from 6 to 10 p.m.

During this event MYPros will honor and celebrate young professionals in the CNMI with awards in the following categories for Young Professional of the Year, Volunteer of the Year, and the Spotlight Award.

Details were announced during our Night at the CNMI Museum fundraiser & mixer event and the nominees for this year’s Volunteer of the Year are:

Brent Deleon Guerrero
Brand Coordinator
Docomo Pacific

A graduate of Marianas High School, Brent went on to pursue a culinary degree through Le Cordon Bleu in Scottsdale, Arizona. Following his certification, Brent returned home and began his journey.

Brent joined the Docomo Pacific customer service team as part of the customer service department and thrived in the teamwork-oriented environment. He was quickly elevated and transitioned to Business Services, developing strong relationships with enterprise customers in the region. Just short of year, Brent accepted a position in the Brand Department, overseeing engagement and activities in the CNMI. Passion was a key ingredient to Brent’s success, and he plans to continue to use his experience to take his journey to new heights. As a young professional himself, he hopes to be able to demonstrate that there are no limits to what you can achieve in your career with the vast amount of opportunity and knowledge available through professional networking.

Within a few months of being a part of the Marianas Young Professionals Organization, he was exposed to the many successful projects planned by the committee and was quickly tasked with chairing the 8th Annual Operation CNMI Homefront Support, where CNMI residents serving in any military branch received care packages from home, in hopes of sharing our local holiday spirit with them while they are abroad making the ultimate sacrifice. It is community services like these and the inspirational other young professionals that drive Brent to continue to find ways to provide a positive impact for our island and it’s people. Overall, with healthy collaboration and professional mentor ship, he hopes young professionalism continues to grow and inspire others for a brighter and prosperous CNMI.
