More than 200 people participated in the event on Friday at the Sri Radha Krishna Temple in Chalan Kanoa, he said, adding that everyone was “in a festive mood” and there was “lots of entertainment” from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Katta said the event would not have been successful without the support of the program committee.

“I want to thank the committee members Tarun Mondle, Jagadish Roy and Noni Gopal Sarkar for their hard work,” he added.

He said the cultural and musical performances of Hindu community members were also exceptional.

Katta thanked all the performers and other individuals who helped make the event a memorable one.

A major Hindu festival, Vijayadashami celebrates the victory of good over evil.
