Saipan mayor’s office prepares candy, other treats for Halloween

THE Saipan mayor’s office will provide candy and other treats to children on  Halloween, Wednesday, Oct. 31, starting at 5 p.m.

Mayor David M. Apatang said they may either turn their warehouse in the CTC Building into a “haunted house” or allow children to knock on the doors of the different offices to get their treats.

“We will do it here,” Apatang said, referring to the mayor’s office, adding they already have a plan to manage the traffic in the area.

His budget and fiscal officer Terry Camacho said they have already packed 2,000 bags of candy.

She said the donors this year are Fiesta Resort & Spa, Atkins Kroll, F&S Corporation, Ginea Saipan, Jet Holdings, National Office Supply and R&M Enterprises.

“We are very thankful to our donors for their support,” she added.
