Utop Investment (Saipan) Inc., a company created by China-based UTour Group Co. Ltd and Saipan-based Top Development Inc., and Utop’s business partners aim to raise $40,000,  Lin Yan told Variety in an email.

Yan is chairwoman of Utop Investment (Saipan) Inc. and vice president of UTours Group Co. Ltd.

UTours, she said, “will exert our utmost efforts and support to help the people affected by Super Typhoon Yutu as well as sustain the local tourism industry.”

She added, “We will expedite our Saipan charter project plans with Top Development Inc. Saipan to increase tourist accessibilities to Saipan as soon as possible.”

UTours Group Co. Ltd. is a Shenzhen-listed company in China.

Yan at the same time reiterated her solidarity with the people of the CNMI, especially to those who have lost everything due to the unprecedented damage inflicted by Super Typhoon Yutu on the islands.

“It is our hope that the donation will help provide relief and assist in the reconstruction and rehabilitation efforts,” she added.
