CNMI Supreme Court Associate Justice John A. Manglona administered the oath of office to Debra Lynn Tenorio Camacho, Antonia Manibusan Tudela and Ann Demapan Castro.

The ceremony was held immediately after Saipan Mayor David M. Apatang was sworn in at the same venue.

In an interview, Castro said the municipal council will continue working and maintaining a good relationship with the Legislature and the governor’s office.

“It is also our desire to be able to pass ordinances for the community and to create more programs for the people,” she added.

Castro said they will hold an organization session at 9 a.m. today, Tuesday, at the Saipan and Northern Mariana Islands Leadership Memorial Kiosku in Chalan Kanoa.

She said they will announce who will be the council chair, vice chair and secretary. “We want to work together,” she added.
