‘Secret science of ice cream’ at the library

(JKPL) — On Jan. 26th, the Joeten-Kiyu Public Library hosted an exciting STEM activity in which participants were able to make ice cream — the secret science of ice cream!

The participants first learned about the ingredients that make up ice cream, and how each ingredient affects the whole recipe. Participants also learned the science behind ice cream making. Finally, each participant was able to make their own ice cream in a bag! After the ice cream was topped with chocolate sauce, the participants enjoyed eating their sweet treat!

A big thank you to all who participated, and everyone who helped make this program possible. We will be making ice cream again at our February KidzCamp! We look forward to sharing this program with the community again!
