2 men arrested for armed robberies on Guam

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) —  A traffic stop on Sunday led to a search of a Dededo home and the arrest of two men suspected of robbing two businesses on Friday night.

Dennis Castro Aldan
Victor Aldan Deleon Guerrero

Officers arrested Dennis Castro Aldan and Victor Aldan Deleon Guerrero for robbery, theft of property, guilt established by complicity, terrorizing, use of a deadly weapon in the commission of a felony, and conspiracy and criminal facilitation. The two men were booked and confined.

Police said around 9:21 p.m. Friday, a masked man who was armed with a rifle entered Papa John’s pizza shop in Mangilao and demanded money. Police described the man as possibly local with a white shirt covering his face, slim to medium build and wearing a tan, long-sleeved shirt.

Approximately 30 minutes later, at about 9:45 p.m. Friday, a man fitting the description of the Mangilao armed robbery walked into Loco Mart in Dededo, pointed a rifle at the cashier and demanded all of the cash from the register.

Video of the Loco Mart robbery has been circulated on social media. There was a second video showing the man run into a dark vehicle, which sped out of the parking lot.

Police officers were able to obtain the possible make and model of the vehicle that was used in both robberies, to include the possible plate number, stated GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao. The vehicle was traced to 41-year-old Victor Aldan Deleon Guerrero of Dededo.

On Sunday, officers from the Dededo Precinct Command conducted a traffic stop on the suspect vehicle. The operator, Victor Aldan Deleon Guerrero, was detained and brought to the Dededo Precinct Command. Detectives were able to obtain information of the other individual responsible for the two robberies.

Hours later, detectives along with operators from SWAT executed a search warrant at a home in Dededo. They located the second suspect, 44-year-old Dennis Castro Aldan, and were able to locate items of evidentiary value relative to the investigation on the robberies.

The two men have been booked and confined, and their case has been forwarded to the Office of the Attorney General for prosecution.
