Police search for clues in Guam death

HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — Detectives with the Guam Police Department Criminal Investigation Division launched a death investigation after a man was found unresponsive Tuesday morning at a construction company site in Harmon.

GPD spokesman Sgt. Paul Tapao said officers from the Tumon-Tamuning Precinct Command found the man at the LSP Construction Co. storage lot shortly before 7 a.m. Medics transported him to Guam Regional Medical City, where he was pronounced dead by an attending physician around 8 a.m., Tapao said.

Tapao declined to say whether foul play was involved or describe what, if any, injuries the man had suffered. He also could not disclose the victim’s age or ethnicity.

The cause of death and results of the autopsy will be released by the Office of the Attorney General, Tapao said.

“This case is ongoing,” Tapao stated. “There are still other loose ends that we need to tie up. ... I can’t comment any further.”
