At the CNMI Mathcourt Competition at Mount Carmel School on May 11, 2019, Chealzka was awarded two gold medals: one for the 6th grade division and one for the 4th-6th grade division together with schoolmates Solana Arro Hunter and Edsel.

Edsel received the silver medal in the 5th grade division and gold in the team round 4th-6th grade division.

GMS students in other grade levels performed well, too: 4th grade Paula Angela Bernardo, got 5th place in the 4th grade division; 2nd grader Neil Clarence Unay was 5th place in the 2nd grade division; kindergarten Edrich Jewel Armia won 3rd place while Nicolo Unay got 5th place in the Kindergarten division.

Teachers, parents, administration, and the whole GMS community are proud of these students who worked so hard to bring honor to their family and friends.

The support and love of the families of these children served as a solid foundation for the success of these young achievers. Teacher-coaches Analiza Quiambao, Charlie YiXing Zhang, and Bebiana Escarcha also contributed so much in preparing these students for the competition.

Congratulations to all of you! You are setting the bar of excellence at a higher level.
