(Press Release) — As part of its commitment to support local community groups and educational entities, Triple J Saipan Inc. donated $5,000 to the Northern Marianas Technical Institute’s 4th Annual Gala, which will be held on Friday, July 26, 2019 at the Hyatt Regency Saipan. “NMTI is committed to providing technical trades and occupational programs for the community members of the CNMI. As a partner of NMTI, Triple J Saipan is committed to extending on-site training and placement of students within these programs. “The annual event keeps getting bigger and better as this year we’ll be featuring some metal sculptures done by our students through the guidance of Mr. Christian Atalig, NMTI instructor who boasts a strong background in the visual arts. The prizes are as good or better than the year before,” says Ross Manglona, director of NMTI’s continuing education. “We’d like to extend our sincerest gratitude to Mr. Bob Jones of Triple J for donating to this year’s NMTI Gala,” said Agnes McPhetres, NMTI’s chief executive officer.

“Triple J is truly a community stakeholder that has always supported the various charities, organizations, sports events and other community events. They are truly a beacon of hope in our community,” McPhetres added. “We’re excited to have Triple J as a strong backer of trades education.”

NMTI continues to tout throughout the community that trades education can only be done through hands on education. As such as their fundamental premise, funds generated at this year’s gala will be allocated again to increasing our technological capacity through the purchase of much needed tools and equipment” which will allow students in the various programs a greater hands on experience before moving on to their permanent careers. Gala tickets are priced at $100 per person and can be bought by calling Ross Manglona at 322-6684 or emailing ross.nmticnmi@gmail.com.
