Philippine consulate to conduct 3-day outreach on Saipan

THE Philippine Consulate General on Guam, in collaboration with Honorary Philippine Consul to the CNMI Glicerio “Eli” Arago, will conduct its second outreach mission for this year on Saipan.

Arago, in an interview, said the mission will be held from May 22 to 24 at the Kristo Rai Church in Garapan from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The biometrics and personal data capturing for ePassport applications will be based on the schedule posted on the consulate’s Facebook page.

On Wednesday, May 22, the consulate team will process 100 applications from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.

On Thursday and Friday, May 23 and 24, the team will process 160 applications each day from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The applicants must show up at the venue on the date and time indicated in the schedule, and must wear proper attire. Personal appearance is required for all ePassport applications.

For consular services, including passport renewal that requires civil registration documentation such as birth and marriage certificates, the consular team will accept documents from the Philippine Statistics Authority or from the former National Statistics Office.

Arago said he will also discuss with the consular team the concerns of some Filipino workers in the CNMI about the absentee ballots that they did not receive.

The Philippines held its midterm elections on Monday, May 13.
