Senate panel OKs 3 nominations

THE Senate Committee on Executive Appointments and Government Investigation has endorsed the confirmation of Irene N. Holl and Richard P. Kautz Jr. as members of the Northern Marianas Technical Institute board of trustees, and of former teacher Corrine Santos as member of the Commonwealth Healthcare Corp. board.

The Senate is expected to act on the nominations Kautz, Holl and Santos in a session at 10 a.m. today, Thursday, in the Senate chamber.

The EAGI committee said it has reviewed all the required documents submitted by the nominees, and have heard testimonies from officials and members of the community.

The nominees “meet all the necessary requirements,” the committee added.

Holl is the executive assistant to Bridge Capital co-owner Shawn Scott; Kautz is president of Kautz Glass Company; and Santos was a teacher at Tinian Jr./Sr. High School and worked as a physical therapist at CHCC.
