Muna is the daughter of Education Commissioner Glenn Muna and Elisa Muna.

In a letter, Dean of Liberal Arts and Sciences Kathleen J. Cassity informed De’Jana Muna that she had earned a grade point average that qualified her for inclusion on the honor roll for the 2019 winter term.

“The faculty and staff at WOU…are very delighted when students, like you, make the most of these opportunities and demonstrate commitment to achieving scholastic excellence,” the letter stated.

“Your achievement is more than attaining recognition from WOU, it is an investment into yourself that will help pave the way for future opportunities in your personal and professional life.”

According to Commissioner Muna, his daughter is majoring in education. “We are very proud of the young woman she has become,” he added. “She’s also working with the university to help welcome seven CNMI students this fall.”

The Western Oregon University currently has more than 5,000 students.
