HAGÅTÑA (The Guam Daily Post) — Gov. Lou Leon Guerrero is visiting Chuuk state in the Federated States of Micronesia this week — the latest of several trips to multiple destinations since becoming governor in January.

Leon Guerrero left Guam on Monday for the 24th Micronesia Island Forum in Chuuk, which started Wednesday and ended Thursday. She’s expected to return Friday, her office confirmed.

Leon Guerrero went on a 13-day trip San Francisco, New York and Washington, D.C., in February to talk to policymakers about issues including labor, health care and the military. Some of her senior staff members traveled with her.

She visited Hawaii and California in May to discuss health care and bond borrowing, among other issues.

She was in Vail, Colorado, from June 10 to 13 for the Western Governors’ Association’s 2019 annual meeting.

Also in June, she went to Base Camp McGregor, an Army facility in New Mexico, to visit almost 200 Guam National Guard soldiers before they were deployed to Egypt’s Sinai region.

She flew to Manila for a three-day trip between April 5 and 8, but her chief of staff Tony Babauta said that was a personal trip.
