Man accused of stealing PlayStation, iPhone

NEWTON O’Keeve Tmarsel, 31, was summoned by the Superior Court on Monday to answer theft and burglary charges.

Tmarsel, who appeared out of custody before Superior Court Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja, pled not guilty.

According to the CNMI government, Tmarsel broke into a house in Garapan on July 14, 2019 and stole a PlayStation 4. On July 16, 2019, at another location, he stole an iPhone X, the government added.

At the hearing on Monday, the defendant was represented by Assistant Public Defender Jean Nogues while Assistant Attorney General Heather Barcinas appeared for the government.

Judge Naraja ordered Tmarsel to return to court on Oct. 8 at 1:30 p.m. for a hearing regarding the July 14 incident; and on Oct. 10 at 9 a.m. for the July 16 incident.
