Former Arts Council Executive Director Cecilia Taitano was elected president; Commonwealth Utilities Corp. board member and Tinian Mayor’s Office department assistant Jovita Paulino, vice president; CNMI State Medicaid Agency data analytics coordinator, Annie Reyes, treasurer; and Community Guidance Center Suicide Prevention Program marketing coordinator, Sharina Clark, secretary.

They were elected unanimously, former CWA board member Jacqueline Che said.

The CWA board members are Cindy I. Deleon Guerrero, Annamae Adaza, and Linda Cabrera.

Incorporated under the laws of the Commonwealth on April 13, 2011, CWA is governed by a seven-member board of directors. It collaborates with public and private organizations to deliver vital social services to the community throughout the CNMI.

Che said the new board members will be introduced at the inaugural “Fun-Raise-Her” Dinner on Nov. 22, from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Fiesta Resort & Spa.

This event is organized by CWA to help raise funds for its operations and programs, as well as services and activities the association provides for the girls and women of the islands.

To join the association or to purchase tickets for the “Fun-Raise-Her” Dinner, contact CWA at 233-8978/9411, email, or visit the CWA office at Building #1223 on Capital Hill.
