“While I regret having to leave this office, its most dedicated staff, and the board, I must pursue an important plan in my life, and I feel very confident that the zoning program will continue to strive forward with greater achievements over challenges, given the excellent staffing and technical support,” she added.

Ogumoro read her letter during the board meeting on Wednesday at the multi-purpose center in Susupe.

She recommended to the board to announce a vacancy for the administrator’s position “as soon as possible.”

She added, “Thank you all, as well as the previous board members, so much for the confidence placed in me to serve you, the staff, the CNMI government, and our people.”

Ogumoro’s last day in office is on Dec. 3, 2019. She has been with the zoning administration office since 2008. In July 2011, she served as administrator in an acting capacity. In May 2012, she became the full-time administrator.

Besides Taitano, the board members who attended the meeting on Wednesday were, Ignacio Demapan, Tatiana Babauta, and Frank Aguon. Vice chair Joe Ayuyu Jr. and Patrick Reyes were absent.
