In an interview, Lopez said she never expected to win, but is very thankful for her victory.

Lopez’s costume was inspired by underwater scenery, and made of seashells and Styrofoam cushion. She said a family friend helped her create the costume.

Guzman said his participation in Marianas Next Top Model signals his “coming out of his shell.”

“It taught me how to be confident,” he added.

For his “Trash for Fashion” entry, Guzman made a cowboy jacket out of newspapers. “My friends and my brother helped me make my costume,” he said.
