THE Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve Guam-CNMI committee will host a job fair this month, ESGR volunteer Janice Tenorio said yesterday. It will be held on July 19 at the Saipan World Resort from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
She said the event is part of its employment initiative program designed to support the unemployed and underemployed National Guard and Reserve servicemembers, veterans and their spouses.
Tenorio said the job fair is exclusively for National Guard and Reserve servicemembers, veterans and military spouses.
The employment initiative program is “a comprehensive multiple agency program that connects employers with the talented pool of servicemembers, veterans and spouses with the intent of facilitating meaningful employment opportunities,” she said.
She said ESGR is advocating for relevant initiatives and awareness of applicable law, and also helps resolve conflict between servicemembers and employers.
“Paramount to ESGR’s mission is encouraging employment of Guardsmen and Reservists who bring integrity, global perspective and proven leadership to the civilian workforce,” she said.
Applicants are encouraged to bring their résumé.
The deadline for the registration of companies participating the job fair is on July 17.
