Governor to attend meetings in Hawaii, American Samoa

GOVERNOR Benigno R. Fitial is leaving this afternoon for Maui, Hawaii to attend the annual meeting of the Pacific Basin Development Council, according to Press Secretary Angel A. Demapan.

Then the governor will proceed to Pago-pago, American Samoa to attend the Coral Reef Task Force Annual meeting that will be held from Aug. 20 to 23.
Afterward, Fitial will go on a personal trip to Tampa, Florida to attend the Republican National Convention.
Demapan and first lady Josie Fitial will be accompanying the governor.
The governor will be back on island first week of September.

But then again even if Buckingham was returned and got convicted, the Gov. would pardon him anyway so not much would be accomplished only a lot of money spent.
Only a Fed. conviction would be able to stand. o besides the "Hatch Act" what other Fed. charges would be applicable? Fleeing prosecution?
I wonder if Fitial could rescind that order once he returned before Buckingham was picked up and fully processed and shipped back?
Where are our lawyers?
