OVER a thousand supporters have signed the online petition to “save” Pagan from a U.S. military proposal to use it for live-fire training.
As of yesterday, the petition had 1,191 signatures and needed 1,808 more before copies can be delivered to U.S. military and CNMI officials.
One of those who signed the petition stated, “We as humans must intervene and have our voices heard to protect the environment for the betterment of the future generation.”
According to another, the U.S. military “has destroyed too many Pacific islands already and they don’t need to destroy another one.”
