Bridge Capital joins list of PIC 5K run sponsors

BRIDGE Capital LLC has joined the growing list of sponsors after it donated $1,500 to the first ever Pacific Islands Club Hafa Adai 5K fundraiser run set for Saturday, April 26.

“Bridge Capital is excited to be part of this event and we encourage the community and other businesses to support and join this event and the others to come,” Bridge Capital IT/marketing manager Mark Badal said.

The company wanted to host an event where everyone could join.

“Bridge Capital has been a supporter of so many past and upcoming sporting events on island. This partnership just made sense,” Badal said.

PIC sports events and activities director Glenn Policare said the Hafa Adai 5K will start and finish at PIC Saipan.

“This event coincides with the blooming of the flame trees here in Saipan. Along with the bright orange flowers which will light up the island from now until summer, the Hafa Adai 5K will have each participant going home covered in a sheet of ‘holi’ powder,” Policare said.

Four coloring stations along the 5K route are within achievable distance for everyone who joins.

Volunteers will celebrate the arrival of each participant by splashing them with either blue, yellow, pink or red colored corn starch which is a biodegradable and non-toxic mixture.

Entry forms are available at the PIC front desk and at Saipan Shell stations.

The entry fees is $10 and the first 500 paid entries will receive a free limited edition event shirt.

The CNMI Salvation Army is the beneficiary of the event. For more information, contact Dennis Tababa at dennis.tababa@picsaipan.com or call 237-5147.
