ALTERNATIVE Zero Coalition is working on a Save Pagan and Tinian signature petition that will be sent to the White House, according to one of its members, former Rep. Cinta Kaipat.
She told Variety that they are in the process of drafting the petition which is to be signed by concerned community members both on island and off island.
“We are planning to directly reach out to the White House.”
The coalition is composed of community members who are actively participating in the public hearings conducted by the U.S. Department of Navy and the CNMI government on the Environmental Impact Statement for the planned military training on Tinian and Pagan.
The group is strongly opposed to the military proposal.
