Tinian Dynasty accepts cash only

TOURISTS and residents going to Tinian and staying at the Dynasty will need to pay in cash.

Variety learned that the hotel-casino is no longer accepting card payments.

Travelers planning to stay at the hotel or dine at the restaurants there are encouraged to bring cash.

Tinian Dynasty, the first casino to operate in the Northern Mariana Islands, opened in 1998.

Typhoon Soudelor, however, caused significant damage on Saipan and resulted in a decline in the number of tourists coming to Tinian. This, in turn, led to the closure of the casino.

Dynasty announced that it was closing the facility altogether but remained open after CNMI and Tinian leaders asked its management not to shut down.

Variety was earlier told that Dynasty casino will not fully reopen until the new investor secures thelicense to operate the casino.

Tinian Entertainment Co. Ltd. has yet to secure the license from the Tinian Casino Gaming Control Commission.
