Senator to meet with Palauans on Saipan

(Press Release) — Sen. Uduch Sengebau Senior will hold a rally at 6 p.m. at the Minatchom Atdao pavilion today, Friday, Oct 7, 2016.

Senior is currently the chair of the Senate Judiciary and Governmental Affairs Committee. She has been a member of the Ninth Olbiil Era Kelulau, or Palau’s National Congress, since Jan. 17, 2013.

Prior to entering politics, Senator Senior maintained a private law practice and served in a number of prominent public service positions.

Senator Senior received her primary education in Palau and traveled to Hawaii for her high school education. She attended the University of Hawaii and obtained her bachelor of art degrees in English and philosophy. She continued her education at the University of Hawaii’s William S. Richardson School of Law where she received her juris doctor degree in 1993.

She returned to Palau to serve low-income residents as a staff attorney of the Micronesian Legal Services Corporation. She is also a former assistant attorney general, an associate judge of Palau’s Land Court and an associate justice pro tem of the appellate division of the Supreme Court of Palau. In 2003, she became senior judge of the land court until her resignation in June 2007.

Senator Senior and her husband Jerome have four lovely children: Spis, Secheriang, Alik and Omisaol.
