ASSOCIATE Judge Joseph N. Camacho on Thursday found probable cause to believe that the crimes of assault and battery and child abuse or neglect were committed by Kaylynn H. Deleon Guerrero.
According to the prosecution, Deleon Guerrero, 27, slapped her eight-year-old son and left him alone at the abandoned La Fiesta Mall in San Roque.
At the preliminary hearing on Thursday, Assistant Attorney General Elizabeth Weintraub appeared on behalf of the government while Assistant Public Defender Cindy Nesbit represented the defendant.
Camacho remanded Deleon Guerrero to the Department of Corrections and set the arraignment for April 24 at a 9 a.m. before Presiding Judge Roberto C. Naraja.
Deleon Guerrero was arrested on Wednesday last week, a day after Kagman Elementary School principal Ignacia T. Demapan reported the incident to police.
