Introduced by Demapan, House Concurrent Resolution 20-1 approves the identified CNMI revenues and resources for FY 2018 which begins on Oct. 1, 2017 and ends on Sept. 30, 2018.

The resolution is still with the Senate Committee on Fiscal Affairs chaired by Sen. Jude Hofschneider who said they are still trying to get clarification from the Department of Finance.

“We need the Senate to pass the concurrent resolution before we [the House can] pass the budget bill,” Demapan said.

“So hopefully the Senate will be able to resolve whatever issues they are having. It is my understanding that they are meeting with Finance so we are hoping that Finance will submit the requested information to the Senate so it can adopt the resolution, and we can keep moving forward.

“I will reach out to our counterparts in the Senate and discuss this issue,” Demapan added.

H.C.R. 20-1 identified a total projected revenue of $236,770,472 million for FY 2018.

Of this amount, $150,114,119 is available for appropriation and includes $4,854,044 for the Department of Public Lands.
