Kensington Hotel touts high occupancy rate

E-LAND Group executives thanked the CNMI government and tourism stakeholders for their support, saying Kensington Hotel Saipan’s occupancy rate continues to rise since it opened a year ago.

“Our hotel has been progressing and producing higher numbers each and every month — our occupancy percentage was 90 percent in the past month,” said Matthew Park, chief executive office/president of Micronesia Resort Inc., during the hotel’s anniversary celebration on Saturday night.

But Park said the lack of construction workers continues to be a challenge.

Regardless of all the issues and problems, however, he said they will “continue to strive to position Kensington as Saipan’s top-tier hotel.”

He added, “I feel the blessings sent from the Lord above have guided us to the right path.”

At Kensington, Park said they practice the “FUN” service philosophy.

“F is for flexible service which resembles our attitude of never saying no to a guest; U is for the uniqueness of our service which none of the other hotels can keep up with; and N is for nobility which refers to our professionalism, proactiveness, and elegance.”

He said they make sure that anyone who visits the hotel will leave with an unforgettable experience of Saipan as a most beautiful destination.

E-land Group marketing president Gyeong Hoon Yun said they will also continue contributing 10 percent of their net income to the development of the local community.

He said they are currently supporting the maintenance of parks, public facilities and youth environmental groups for a sustainable society.

“Through our never-ending support, we wish to expand and grow together with the Saipan community and we will always treat the island like home,” Yun said.  

The E-Land Group management thanked CNMI government officials, the Marianas Visitors Authority, travel agencies and airline companies for joining the Kensignton celebrate its first anniversary on Saturday.

E-Land Group also thanked the Kensington’s employees for their efforts and loyal dedication.

Among the guests on Saturday were South Korean celebrities Su Ro Kim, Sung Jin Kang, Hyung Jun Lim and Ki Yeoul Kim.
