Honorary Philippine consul’s office continues to accept passport renewal applications

THE Philippine consular mobile team from Guam was able to process 535 passport applications during its four-day outreach last week, according to Annamae Adaza, a volunteer with the office of Honorary Philippine Consul to the CNMI Glicerio “Eli” Arago.

She said Arago’s office will continue accepting applications for passport renewals to be handled during the next consular mission set for September.

Applications must be submitted to Mel Santos at the Finasisu Terrace. Call 237-6293 for more information.

Arago, for his part, expressed his appreciation to Filipino community members who volunteered their time to assist the consular team from Guam headed by Consul Edgar Tomas Q. Auxilian.

The volunteers included Adaza, Mario Mayuga, Ariel Mariano, Gloria Sabado, Lucy Buensalido, Alma Famat, Jojo Sotto, Tessie Tan, Letty Ching, Mylene Macapagal, Nenita Marquez, Flor Miranda, Rene Gaviola, Shelfa Gaviola, Renren Gaviola, Ramhae Awit, and Raina Avelino.

He also thanked IT&E, KWAW Radio and Star Water Company for their support.

“We are very thankful to the volunteers for their unwavering support,” Arago said.

Adaza said the Filipino community will miss the dedication and commitment of Auxilian who will complete his tour of duty on Guam this September.

She said Auxilian has been providing “great service” to the Filipino community in the CNMI.

“We are grateful for his service and for being attentive to the needs of the overseas Filipino workers here,” Adaza said.
