KHS registration ongoing

(Kagman High School) — Registration for new and continuing students is ongoing and urgently waiting for more KHS students to submit registration for the new school year.

Only students who submitted complete registration documents will be given schedules at orientation.

Registration submitted from Monday, Aug. 14 on, will be accepted; however, student schedules will not be distributed after orientation. Students who register late or have missing registration documents (insurance, birth certificate, Blue immunization card or power of attorney (if required), will have their schedules available in the morning on the first day of classes to give our registrar time to complete the registration process.

Currently, there are 59 pending registrations for missing documents. The most common missing document is the insurance requirement. If a student is not able to provide proof of Medicaid or private insurance, it is recommended to purchase a minimum of school specific insurance which can be gotten from Moylan’s Insurance on Beach Road or Marianas Insurance in San Jose for $15. Bring the following required documents: student birth certificate and parent ID.

The orientation schedule is as follows:

Aug. 14

Seniors, 1 p.m.

Juniors, 2:30 p.m.

Aug. 15

Sophomores, 1 p.m.

Freshmen, 2:30 p.m.

If you have children in multiple grade levels, you do not have to attend multiple sessions. You may choose to attend any of the sessions at your convenience, however, note that the Senior and Freshmen orientations will be more specific to those grade level needs.

The first day of classes is Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017.

High School bus riders for Kagman High should be at their bus shelter by 7:15 a.m. Official start time for the day is 8:30 a.m. Classes will be dismissed at 3:30 p.m.

Kagman High School is a closed campus, so once a student enters, they may not leave the campus unless they have permission from their parent and the principal. Once a bus rider enters the bus, they are part of the closed campus policy and the same permissions apply.
