Philippine consulate general to conduct 4-day mobile outreach in September

THE Philippine Consulate General on Guam will conduct four days of mobile consular services on Saipan next month, according to communications/information and protocol officer Allan Tangayan.

He said the consular service sessions, which will be held in coordination with Philippine Honorary Consul to the CNMI Glicerio Arago, will start on Sept. 8 and continue until Sept. 11 at the multi-purpose center in Susupe.

The consular team will process passport applications only, he added.

Those interested in renewing their passports must call Mel Santos at 233-6293 between Aug. 10 and Sept. 1, Monday to Friday. Registration will run from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

In a statement,Tangayan said only 640 applicants who have pre-registered will be processed during the September mission.

The 640 applicants on the official list will be assigned a specific date and time slot, he added.

He urged passport-renewal applicants to appear at their scheduled processing time or their slots will be cancelled and they will have to register again for the next mobile consular outreach.

“It is important to remember your confirmed assigned schedule,” he said.
