CNMI San Diego Club raising funds for hurricane victims

THE nonprofit CNMI San Diego Club is partnering with the Sons & Daughters of Guam Club and the Houston Association of Marianas Islanders to raise funds for the islanders who lost their belongings when Hurricane Harvey hit Texas.

CNMI San Diego Club president David Atalig said they are organizing a fundraising concert featuring Parker Yamazaki Yobei and set for Sept. 22, 2017.

He said monetary donations are the simplest and best way to help the hurricane victims and allow them to get what they need as they try to resume their normal lives.

Atalig said they formed the CNMI club in San Diego so Marianas islanders can work as a team in promoting their local culture and helping one another.
