Devotees to mark 100th year of Marian apparitions

(Press Release) — In celebration of the 100th anniversary of the apparitions of the Blessed Mother in Fatima, Portugal, on Saturday, Oct. 14, 2017, a Public Square Rosary Rally will be held from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at the Minachom Atdao Pavilion, Beach Road, Susupe, Saipan.

The actual rosary starts at noon. This is very important as it is near the time when the miracle of the sun took place in Fatima on Oct. 13, 1917.

The Public Square Rosary will be one of over 20,000 rallies that will take place all across the United States on that day. “Due to our time zone in the Marianas, Saipan will be the first one to hold such rally,” said Dr. Celia Lamkin, America Needs Fatima Rosary Rally captain for the CNMI.

“Please join us in offering reparation for the sins and offenses committed against the Immaculate Heart of Mary to fervently pray for the conversion of the United States and other countries. Let us pray for world peace,” Lamkin added.

Free rosaries will be distributed.

“This is the 7th year that I have been leading the Public Square Rosary as a Rosary Rally captain in the CNMI. In Oct. 2011, Mrs. Escolastica ‘Esco’ Cabrera and I started the Rosary Rally in front of Mt. Carmel Cathedral, and in front of Kristo Rai Church in 2012.

“Miracles happen. My family and I personally experience a lot of miracles from God. I had five heart attacks already and being still alive is a big bonus from our Almighty God. My eldest brother was diagnosed with colon cancer stage 3a in 2013, and during the Rosary crusade in 2013, the faithful and I prayed for his complete healing. As of this time, my brother is still alive and he did not undergo any chemotherapy after his operation in 2013.

“Few weeks ago, a relative called me about a family friend who was in a critical medical condition which warranted urgent cardio thoracic surgery. Unfortunately, there was no available specialist who could manage his condition. Hence, a medical referral to the Philippines was done but the patient’s condition could not tolerate the travel.

“I told my relative to give the picture of Our Lady of Fatima to his friend and have faith and trust our Almighty God and ask the intervention of our Blessed Mother. I prayed for the complete healing of that person. A few days later, I was informed by my relative that the patient could be transported to the Philippines.

“When the patient arrived in a known hospital in Manila, my relative informed me that his friend’s surgery would be scheduled immediately.

“Last week, I was informed by my relative that the patient was not even operated and was already discharged from the hospital.

“This is indeed a real miracle from God. God is the greatest physician and divine healer! Thank you very much our God Almighty! Thank you very much for the Intervention of Our Blessed Mother.”
