Owners Derek Cutting and his wife, Tanya were joined by friends, newly hires staff members and young bodybuilders as they christened the place with an evening bash, punctuated with demos of really cool facilities and activities that can’t be found anywhere else on island.

Of course, Latte Built has all the elements of different kinds of traditional gyms.

But Cutting who grew up in a gym so bodybuilding became his passion, said made some cool add ups to the place.

“In running a gym nowadays we have functionality involved,” Cutting said.

This means you don’t just stick your daily routine to bodybuilding alone. That’s why Latte Built has the kinds of activities like the 25-foot rock wall climbing, a huge turf track which is more like a mini football field, a cross fit,   yoga studio, tire flips and tire slams and more others that helps one build not only body strength but also stability.

This kind of gym now exist in many places in the states and other parts of the world, and are popular in the internet.

That’s why Latte Built’s member-base is mostly young body builders who age range from 16 years old to 25 years old, the kind of crowd that is always seen in the internet.

But there are some older folks that are starting to pick that up, too.

Latte Built’s humble beginning came up in April 2015 at the second floor of Morgan Building in San Jose.

It has been Cutting’s plan from the very start to add more from a traditional bodybuilding gym so he had to find a bigger and cooler place to make all that happen.

And it’s happening now.

The gym opens 24 hours a day and every member gets their own keys so they can come in anytime they want to work out, with ready helps from staffers.

Latte Built group is not like a typical gym where you come as and treated as customer. It’s a like a family.

Cutting really appreciates the family-type culture in the new facility.
