GES marched towards the semifinals with ease triumphing over SVES 2 and Kagman Elementary School 1 for three straight victories.

It was their teamwork and quick reactions that kept them in control as Roman, Linsa Clarisa and Kenny blocked, caught and tagged their opponents ending each game quickly.

SVES 2 suffered their first loss in the double elimination rule falling to the hands of GES 1 in the second round but made their way back to the top in their battle within the losers’ bracket. They first fought off William S. Reyes Elementary School 2. GTC 2 and siblings SVES 1 fell not too long after before SVES 2’s return to the top where they took down GTC 1 to advance to the finals match against GES 2.

The finals match was filled with exciting action as both teams eliminated players left to right but it was GES 2 that had the upper advantage as only Quinokie Manalo was left on the court to keep SVES 2’s hopes alive.

Despite only Manalo left, he was able to stand his ground catching one ball to bring back a partner just before time ran out forcing the game into sudden death where a 2v2 battle was played.

GES 1 acted quickly in response to SVES 2’s rush with Clarisa catching the first throw outing Manalo while teammate Roman finished them off with a quick attack connecting Gregory Ngotel’s foot to before reaching a minute to claim the victory and the championship trophy.
