Marianas Water takes opening win in SBA League

9ELEVEN Marianas Water took a debut win against the Brannon’s Docomo Hustlers by a slim lead during the final round, 7-6 on last Tuesday’s opening game of the 2018 SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball Tuesday League at Brannon’s Grill.

It was anyone’s game as both teams exchanged lead several times.

The Hustlers were the first to gain the edge as Erwin and Rowel opened up with the two rounds of the Singles 8-Ball match.

Marianas Water then turned the tables as Ryan and Cecelio teamed up claiming the Partners 8-Ball match and followed through with a 2-1 run to lead 4-3.

The Hustlers’ Erwin and Joey fought back taking the second Partners 8-Ball match but Marianas Water held on pulling another 3-1 run during the third Singles 8-Ball match for the one point advantage.

The Hustlers evened the score with a lone win but Marianas Water’s Roel and Cecilio kept their momentum flowing long enough to snatch the final Partners 8-Ball match to seize the win 7-6.

Amari’s Destroyers shared a similar victory pulling a huge comeback over 9Eleven Wildboyz 7-6.

Wildboyz seemed to have locked in the win as they played strong during the first three matches to take control 5-2.

But as soon as the Destroyers found their rhythm, they never looked back. They started off with a 2-1 run at the third Singles 8-Ball match and could not be stopped bagging the following two Partners 8-Ball match to stun the Wildboyz stealing the win 7-6.

9Eleven Str8 Black Ball are on top of the ladder as they had a dominant performance over the Brannon’s 670 Builders nearly silencing them 12-1.
