CK Bears shut out Indians in SBL

SHORT STOP AJ Lizama had perfect feat on the plate while first baseman Angel Palacios hit three RBIs including a two-run single and the CK Bears shut the Indians out in last Monday’s game of the Saipan Baseball League regular season at the Francisco Tanko Palacios Baseball Field.

Starting pitcher Jose Lizama struck out two before Ray Dela Cruz replaced him on the mound and had one strike out to help the Bears blank the Indians.

The Bears showed no mercy in the entire game launching their strong offense in the top of the second inning with center fielder Henry Lizama blasting a two-run single. Palacios and third baseman TJ Dela Cruz chipped in run-scoring base hits during this round as the Bears pounded the Indians with nine-run lead.

Catcher Virgil Secharmidal delivered on a sacrifice fly as Palacios fired his second RBI in the third.

Leftfielder Rick Dela Cruz hit an RBI single in the fourth, Palacios hit his third RBI—a two-run single while Secharmidal and AJ Lizama added RBI singles and the Bears secured their win, 21-0.

AJ Lizama went 5-for-5 in the game, Palacios, 4-for-5 while Frankie Lizama and Donald Manalo went 2-for-2.

Ben Lizama had four strike outs for the Indians.

Titanium 12, Mariners 7

In last Friday’s game, right fielder Lucio Kalen had back-to-back RBIs to help Titanium beat the Mariners, 12-7.

Shortstop Tony Deleon Guerrero hit a two-run double while leftfielder Brian Camacho had an RBI single to put up the lead in the bottom of the fourth inning.

Starting pitcher Bill Camacho had four strike outs gave up six base hits with four walks.
