Falcons rout Blue Jays for 2nd win in SBL

FIRST baseman Bradley Lieto drove in four runs in three base hits and third baseman Ian Norita fired a two RBI single as the Falcons dominated the Blue Jays, 21-9 in the Saipan Baseball League regular season at the Francisco Tanko Palacios Baseball Field on Tuesday.

Lieto delivered his first RBI in the game while second baseman Giovanni Mira added a run on a fielder’s choice to hand the Falcons a strong lead in the top of the third inning.

Third baseman, Kier Agda launched a two RBI triple to help the Jays take the lead in the bottom of the third.

With Norita’s two RBI single and Mira’s fielder choice RBI, the Falcons regained the command in the top of the fourth.

Falcons’ pitcher Henry Reyes shut the Jays out in the bottom of the fourth and continued to give them two more runless innings.

The Jays didn’t score runs until the seventh inning with right fielder Chris George and designated hitter Mark Toves chipping in RBI single apiece.

Reyes finished the Jays off with his ninth strike out on third baseman Kimo Angailen.

Frankie Lifoifoi who had back-to-back RBI single for the Falcons went 2-for-3 while Peter Lieto went 3-for-4.

Peter and Bradley scored the most runs in the game with four each.

The Falcons took their debut win over the BSI Aces, 10-8 in the opening game last week.
