Falcons rout Twins, 27-4 in Little League majors

THE Talaabwogh Falcons circled the bases almost three times in the top of the third inning to rout the Twins in the major division game of the Saipan Little League Baseball regular season at the Miguel Tange Basa Pangelinan Baseball Field.

Leading the base hit parade were centerfield, Noah Aguon who had two RBI double in his first at-bat, an RBI walk in his second and a two-run home run in his third; right fielder Christopher Pangelinan who hit a two RBI single in his second at-bat; catcher Michael Tomokane who two RBI single in his first at-bat and an RBI double in his second and starting pitcher Andre Iguel who had two RBI single in his third at-bat.

The Falcons opened the game with two triples in a row from Aguon and left fielder Deandre Sablan who drove in the first run.

Short stop Achilles Evangelista also drove in a run and Pangelinan helped put up a strong lead in the opening inning with an RBI single.

Evangelista widened the gap in the second inning with an RBI single.

Leftfielder Zachary Dafrow fired a two RBI double in the second inning for the Twins.

Third baseman Joey Sharry and first Baseman Isabella Teigita contributed RBI single apiece to help the Falcons secure their 10-run rule victory, 27-4.

Comets 6, McDonald’s 5

The Comets protected their one-run lead to beat McDonald’s 6-5.

With shortstop Patty Mendiola hitting an RBI double and starting pitcher Greg Tebit hitting an RBI single, the Comets built the lead in the first inning.

Tebit threw two of his five strike outs to help blank McDonald’s in the bottom of the first.

McDonald’s tightened their defense as well, pitcher with Dylan Santos shutting out the Comets two innings in a row. He totaled 10 strike outs in the game.

The Comets kept the lead in the fourth as centerfield Sam Aldan second baseman Lifoifoi drove in runs with a single and a sacrifice bat respectively.

Short stop Lance Anthony Acosta cut the lead with an RBI single in the sixth, but the Comets infielders finished them off to secure the win.

Little Legals 7, Little Cubs 5

Catcher helped the Little Legals make a strong opening with a two RBI triple.

Starting pitcher Benjamin Palacios Jr. had five strike outs to help defend the field despite two consecutive run-scoring base hits from Little Cubs’ shortstop Albert Adriano and third baseman Isidro Lizama in the bottom of the first.

Relief right fielder Derence Wilgene Diaz helped keep the commanding lead with an RBI single in the third.

The Legals were blanked by relief pitcher Isidro Lizama in two straight innings but not before Gregorio Pangelinan secured a lead in the fourth with an RBI triple.
